ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

In this classroom-based course, providers enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.

GEMS – Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services

The proportion of the aged in society today is greater than ever before, and growing faster than any other segment of our population. Current indications are that approximately 34% of calls for emergency medical services, or 3.4 million emergency responses involve patients over the age of 60. GEMS represents the most credible and complete source of prehospital medical information for older adults.

PHTLS – Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support

NAEMT's Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognized around the world as the leading continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. The mission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care through global education.  PHTLS is developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma. The Committee provides the medical direction and content oversight for the PHTLS program.

AMLS – Advanced Medical Life Support

NAEMT’s Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) course is the first EMS education program that fully addresses how to best assess and manage the most common medical crises in patients, offering a "think outside the box" methodology.  It is for all levels of practitioners with a strong commitment to patient care, including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and physicians.

ASLS – Advanced Life Stroke Support

Advanced Stroke Life Support ® is a practical, hands-on, 8-hour course that:

  • Was developed by experts in stroke, emergency medicine, prehospital care, and nursing education
  • Is updated and improved continuously
  • Has been used to train thousands of EMS personnel, nurses, and physicians from hundreds of institutions across the U.S. and throughout the world
  • Provides a unique neurologic assessment tool-the MEND exam-ideal for both prehospital and hospital use

PEPP – Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals

PEPP represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.

CPR / FA – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid

CPR class focuses on how to treat a victim who is suffering from cardiac arrest or choking. The class also discusses how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). First Aid teaches lay people how to perform life saving measure for those suffering from common medical or traumatic emergencies.

 

Emergency Medical Technician Recertification

These classes are designed to meet and or exceeded both the national and state requirement for EMT’s recertification.

 

Emergency Medical Responder Recertification

These classes are designed to meet and or exceeded both the national and state requirement for EMR’s recertification.

 

MCI I and II – Mass Casualty Incident

This class is designed to train the responder how to identify and treat a mass-casualty incident.
